Industry Partnerships

My industry and academic partnerships reflect a strong commitment to bridging applied research, financial innovation, and education across global contexts.

My Canadian partnerships demonstrate a strong focus on the practical integration of fintech innovation, data science, and regulatory insight. With York Region, I have collaborated on multiple knowledge-sharing initiatives, delivering lectures on AI-driven fraud and its impact on private citizens (Jan 2024), the post-boom cryptocurrency landscape (Apr 2025), and how digital currencies are reshaping business and finance (Oct 2025), providing thought leadership on how emerging technologies reshape financial ecosystems.

Through Scotiabank’s iLead programme, I delivered industry workshops on Big Data and Analytics (Mar 2019) , empowering financial professionals to apply data-driven strategies in decision-making. In the fintech sector, I have led projects such as the Regulatory Analysis for a Toronto-based financial literacy application, researched into applications of Artificial Intelligence in Forensic Accounting, and the development of heuristic algorithms for blockchain currency pairs, all of which exemplify my commitment to advancing compliance, innovation, and market transparency within Canada’s digital finance landscape.

My international collaborations reflect a dedication to strengthening global fintech education and cross-border knowledge exchange. As Visiting Faculty at Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture in China, I lectured on Financial Information Systems, fostering awareness of digital transformation in finance.

With the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in Mumbai, I delivered training on Blockchain in DevOps: Implementing Transparent Continuous Delivery, supporting faculty development in emerging technologies.

Additionally, at the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) in New Delhi, I served as Guest Lecturer on Fintech subject areas, guiding policymakers and finance professionals through the evolution of technology in financial services. Together, these international engagements highlight my efforts to build an integrated, globally informed perspective on financial innovation and education.

About

I am a strategic higher education leader, practitioner-scholar, and passionate academic with a keen interest in financial technologies, research, and teaching. With around fourteen years of experience, I have turned emerging fintech ideas into institution-wide programmes, budgets, and research projects. My teaching history spans a range of subjects, including Fintech, Finance, Distributed Ledger Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Computational Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Ethical Hacking, Database Systems, and Machine Connectivity.

I am skilled at leading accreditation, fostering inclusive governance, and managing resources, all while building a culture that values innovation, equity, and student success. I have built strong relationships with industry, government, and global partners, and have considerable experience bridging the gap between academia and industry through collaborations.

I have presented my research at several international conferences and published numerous papers in leading academic journals. My research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Decentralised Finance, Distributed Ledger Technology, Regtech, and Fiscal Policy. I am recognised as a thought leader and public speaker, supported by MITACS-funded research and peer-reviewed publications, and I am passionate about advancing sustainability and innovation in FinTech education worldwide.
